After changing gearbox last winter, had strange fluff coming out of gearbox bell housing and then slippage. Results here:

The entire friction plate (one side only) disintegrated.
Noticed the thrust bearing had two "spot" welds holding casing to base plate but both had broken.
Changed bearing from 1970s gearbox and installed new Uno Turbo Mk2 housing and racing 3 paddle plate.
Seemed fine but now new clutch is slipping under load (5th gear, at around 100 -120 km/h).
Cable also was renewed and is not overly tight.
